Entered Landy Rally 2008 - a European 4x4 charity drive

DETAILS OF OUR SPONSORS

Motorcare Warranties
Motorcare Warranties Limited have helped make our entry into Landy Rally possible by being extremely generous with their sponsorship. Motorcare Warranties have provided us with funding which will cover the entry fee of the rally, and the cost of the ferry. This very kind gesture from Motorcare Warranties is even more appreciated when you consider that they are a Welsh based company and they are helping us support a Scottish charity. We would like to say a massive Thank You to the Directors and staff of Motorcare Warranties for this generosity, especially Trevor Carson, sales director.

Experian Automotive
Experian Automotive have also helped make our entry into Landy Rally possible by generously donating funds towards our fuel bill for the trip. This is very much appreciated and many many sincere thanks go to Kirk Fletcher, Managing Director for his support and belief in our cause. We will also be aiming to carry out 13 Autocheck reports on a handheld PDA from all 13 countries that we are visiting. This should help prove that Experian can provide vehicle information from anywhere in Europe - all from the palm of your hand!!

Auld Lang Signs
We would like to thank Graham at Auld Lang Signs in Dreghorn for very kindly  sponsoring our entry by supplying & fitting, and covering the costs of all the vehicle vinyls that have been applied to the vehicle. These consist of vinyls advertising our chosen charity CHAS, our sponsors and of course the rally itself. This is a fantastic gesture from Graham and is a real help towards our entry. Once again, on behalf of ourselves and CHAS, thank you for your support Graham.

MAUTRA DOUBLE GLAZING REPAIRS

Mautra Double Glazing Repairs
We would like to thank Maureen and Tracy of Mautra Double Glazing Repairs for their financial support towards the cost of the fuel for the rally. Again this kind donation has gone a long way to ensuring our entry into the rally can take place, which in turn allows us to raise money for CHAS. Their generosity is very much appreciated by both ourselves and CHAS.

CATALISE

Catalise
We would like to thank Paul Bryce from Catalise for agreeing to cover the cost of a set of replacement tyres for the Land Rover which will be required for the rally. This is due to the fact that a lot of the rally will be held off road and on gravel tracks etc and normal road biased tyres (as are currently fitted to the Land Rover) would not be able to stand up to the harsh conditions we are likely to endure. Our Thanks once again go to Paul for his generosity , and would like to thank him on behalf of CHAS for this gesture.

MOOREND GARAGE

Moorend Garage
We would like to thank Ron from Moorend Garage who does all the servicing and repairs on our Land Rover for agreeing to do a full service and a thorough vehicle check over prior to the rally to ensure that we shouldn't have any mechanical problems during our trip. Again this is much appreciated as it gives us piece of mind and allows us to concentrate our efforts on fundraising.

Burnhouse Motor Sport
Would like to thank David & Gail Harkness of Burnhouse Motorsport in Glengarnock, for allowing us the free use of their garage & equipment in Lochshore Ind Estate, which will help us with the preparation and work required to get the Landy ready for the rally. The use of proper ramps etc for changing springs and shocks etc will make our vehicle preparations a lot easier. Once again thank you.

 Duckworth Land Rover

We would like to thank Ben Duckworth at Duckworth Land Rover for agreeing to assist us by helping us out with some spare parts etc that we may need to take along with us. Ben is looking to do us a great deal on price etc to help keep our costs to a minimum. Once again this help is much appreciated and welcomed. Thanks Ben.

BikeRevs
Bikerevs have very kindly agreed to carry out a lot of the work on the vehicle for our entry (Kenny is the co-driver after all!!). I (David) have to say a big thanks to Kenny for utilising his skills etc in helping with preparation in doing some of the work I'm not totally confident with.
